Raw AI transcription drowns chords in phantom octave harmonics. MelodyWiz runs calibrated onset/frame thresholds plus a harmonic-ghost filter — in closed-loop benchmarks (ground-truth MIDI → rendered audio → transcribe → compare) that lifts polyphonic accuracy from 0.71 to 0.91 F1, with melodies at 0.97 and fast arpeggios at 1.00. Every job shows you the numbers: notes detected, ghosts filtered, tempo found. Sheet output is quantized notation rendered by a professional engraving engine, delivered as MusicXML your editor can open.

How accurate is the transcription?
Our tuned engine scores 0.97 F1 on melodies and 0.91 on polyphonic chords in closed-loop benchmarks — including a harmonic-ghost filter that removes the phantom octave notes plaguing raw AI transcription. Clean solo-instrument recordings transcribe best; dense full-band mixes are genuinely hard for any tool, so expect a starting point to edit rather than a perfect score.
