Upload a song, get back the notes: our tuned AI transcription engine converts MP3 to MIDI — plus MusicXML and a rendered sheet-music preview — with a harmonic-ghost filter that cleans up the phantom notes other converters leave in.
Audio-to-MIDI is a genuinely hard AI problem: sustained chords generate harmonics that naive converters transcribe as phantom octave notes, drowning the real music. MelodyWiz runs a tuned transcription model with calibrated onset/frame thresholds and a harmonic-ghost filter on top — in our closed-loop benchmarks that lifts polyphonic accuracy from 0.71 to 0.91 F1. You'll see exactly what the engine did in the metrics: note count, ghosts filtered, tempo detected.
Best input: solo piano, guitar, voice or other single instruments. Full-band mixes transcribe too, but treat the result as an editable starting point — that's the honest state of the art for every tool.
